A small update here...

Rear side windows.
They are a little fiddly to get in place but if you tape them in with masking tape, they will stay put when you fit the screws.
Also, tape the rear door closed when you turn the model upside down.

With the windows fitted, you can clearly see the fixing screws etc.
Just cut a thin strip of chrome or black tape and cover it over.
Not technically accurate, but nicer than seeing the screws.

The big beastie is nearing completion now. Not long to go.

The dash has been installed which involved removing the radiator again just to get the steering column in correct alignment.
After that, the main floor section was fitted and the multitude of wiring attached.

I found it far easier to plug in all the wires before screwing the little plug board onto the floor panel, so the board was duly removed to do it, and then screwed back later.

The front nose section was assembled without any hitches and this part just presses into place after the bonnet is screwed on using small metal brackets.
I found that as you close the bonnet, it has a little sideways 'slop' which I'll look at at some point. It may be that I have something a bit loose somewhere.

The fuel tank was added and then finally the main base of the car was fitted.
Altogether very straightforward stuff.

I'll have to look at getting a case for it before long.

I tried about half an hour to post, and think I hit the wrong button.
Here I go again: Approx. what lengths are the looms, and when the engine is placed in the frame, where do they go to?
The loom off the coil, and alternator?

To make my wiring looms I literally just measured around the upper engine frames and then made them a tad longer.

The wiring is 'fairly' accurate inasmuch as I looked at close-up photo's of the various junction boxes and relays in the real car and made a simplified version of it. In reality, there are far more wires.

The various separate wires such as the low tension leads on the coil, the rev counter sensor, temp sensor, alternator, starter motor etc are all just fed into the loom at various places.

Wires from the fluid cylinders go through the bulkhead as do the wires from the wash bottle.

Really, I just looked at lots of engine pics and tried to add wires in the right places, that look as if they actually go from 'A to B'.

Well, my big beastie is now complete.
It's been a great, fun build and for once - I intend building another one.
This time, I'm going to add FAR more detail based on what I learned first time around. It will be primrose yellow - my favourite E Type colour, with a red interior..

Probably one of the BEST part-work model cars, ever.
OK - like all kits, there are things that can be improved but for me, that's all part of the fun...
