Thanks very much Kev!!

Yesyerday I worked on "display box"

I covered the base with neoprene, in the first i would use the antislip tape that seems tarmac, but in the end i think is better neoprene tape.
The antislip is extremely rough, and is too easy damage something.

Second step was to place a carbon fiber film on the background.

After i placed ther Ayrton's Sign and some decal sponsor.

I think the result is quite good.

In the week i'll finish the model with the last detail.

Thanks too much mates. Blushing Love

I finished the last extras at 18. Then when the baby is asleep, from 21 to 23 hours with a black panel and two neon lamps, I have self created a photo set. I'll open a the thread in finished model section later.

Yesterday I finished the steering wheel, and I decided not to flock it for not making plus.
The suede of the steering wheel is very fine and so doing a "teddy bear" would have been a while.
On some steering wheels there is no white seam. I leave it my steering without seam.

With the cable (spiraled on a toothpick) I tried to reproduce the wiring that comes from the steering wheel to the cockpit.

I added the boost and radio labels and a bit of detail to the hub bolts with gun metal paint.

I pierced the steering wheel on the hub and then I added the cable. watching a photo of the pedals I was able to figure out the position of the end of the wiring.

Then it was the turn of the final positioning of antennas.

My greatest thanks goes to Maurizio67, an attentive and helpful Master. he gave me a grat help to build and detail this MclAren. Without his help many of the extra details would not even be present.
Thanks Maurizio and I hope to see your mp4/4 build soon.

Last week was the biggest model expo in Italy (Verona)

Modelspace Italy asked me to show my MP4....was a pleasure but was also a moment to think about my build.
Watching my Mclaren i'm not satisfy with the result, so i decide to improve it (I started the ugrade when i'll finish my Deltas and Golf GTI)

After thinking about it and after speaking with my Friend Maurizio, i decide to re work on my Mp4/4.

After 4 years of modelling and after 4 years which i lightly improved my skills, i decide to make this:

- Add decals musem collection on front and rear spoilers (the inside of the wing pillars)

- Replace all the screws of suspension with bolts

- Add carbon fiber to rear zone of undertray (coca-cola zone)

- Full carbon cover on front wing(the black front nose)

- Add cooling piping on radiator

- replace the connector plug on upper control unit (near to roll bar)

- Paint in matt black the inside of shell cover and add the termohet shield

I think that put the decal on front wing will be quite easy.
The external pillars are screwed on front wing

My trouble will be with rear wing pillars. If I remeber well, i think was glued....so i hope to don't damage it.

With my other project i'm stopped because i'm wating some parts.

I started with little upgrade to my mp4.

I dismantled my Mp4 in some macro group, I must understand if i can demount the front axle (to carbon cover the mnocoque) and the rear axle to carbon cover the rear brake ducct and rear gerabox sid panels.
