What is the first issue the car is runnable? i'm up to pack 21 (81-84) and looks like its runnable after 88? i started building the car when it first came out in the uk and took a couple years break, but there is light at the end of the tunnel.

never had a rc car with an engine so have no idea what i'm doing once its built to get it running, no videos online on what to do after its built.

thanks guys

Good stuff and glad to be of help.

Run the engine on first tank on the rich side you will see white smoke this is normal and it will probably stop a couple of times. If it dous stop let it cool down and restart until all the fuel is used up. The second tank should run all the way through but you may get a stop again, let it cool and then finish off the fuel.

You can do another tank if you wish but its best to finish the running in while driving the car . Leave the body work off and just run the chassis to help keep the engine cool.

Once the engine starts easily you can start to tune it by adjusting the fuel screw so you get more power from the engine, but be carefull not to go too lean as it will damage the engine.
Current builds:-C57,Zero, Lamborghini Countach, Caldercraft HMS Agamemnon,Robi,R2-D2, MFH Cobra .

Sounds like you have an air leak some where the fuel system should be sealed to opperate corectly so 1st check the fuel tank lid is seated/sealed corectly.

To test this if you push down on the fuel tank filler cap to seal it and fuel then flows through to the motor then if you take your finger off the cap the fuel flows backward then the cap is not sealing correctly and you wil need to reorder the fuel tank.

If the fuel tank is sealing corectly double check all the fuel line conections as you may have a pin hole that is preventing the flow of fuel.

The two screws should be set to the PDF instructions and if you have lost the settings start from scratch and go forward from there. You also need to make sure the glow starter battery is fully charged.

To break in a glow engine takes patience as at first it can be hard to get going for example starts and stops a lot until a couple of tanks have been run through the engine but once fully run in you will get a start every time.

What fuel are you using it should be 10% nitro minimum .
