Stage 55

Contents: Upper plate, Gear lever, Linkage, Type K screws x 3, Type X screws x 3, Type G screws x 2

Retrieve the footpeg bracket and the left footpeg from Stage 54. Fit the footpeg to the bracket. Fit the gear lever to the hole in the bracket and secure it with a type X screw. Don’t overtighten the screw, as the lever should move freely. Fix the linkage to the gear lever with a type X screw. Make sure the parts are positioned correctly, Fit the two pins on the inside of the top plate into the corresponding holes in the top of the bracket. Take the left footpeg assembly and fit the two holes behind the corresponding holes in the rear of the frame and secure with two type K screws. Locate and fit the tube onto the linkage pin. Fix the free end of the linkage to the arm at the side of the engine block with a type G screw. Check that when you press on the left footpeg, that the linkage and the arm move back.

Stage complete, carefully store any remaining parts in a stage labelled bag.
