Just a thought: Instead of building the model with the lower gun deck exposed, why not take advantage of the introductory price of issue 1 to obtain an extra couple of cannon. You could then use the figures supplied with the series to make a small gun deck diorama to display next to the ship.

I posted a picture of a model of the Victory elsewhere on this forum, but omitted to mention the builders name, his name is Guzman, here is his web site.

The reason I'm posting it here is if you click on Victory and Dioramas you will see some of his models that incorporate various parts of the ship, just as you asked.:)

You will be able to expose a 7 gun section of gun deck with this kit, however I was thinking of a scratch built cross section probably midships, particularly if we are provided with a full size set of plans.BigGrin Additional timber would have to be purchased from a supplier like Cornwall Model Boats.Mellow The section would be authentic scale construction rather than the solid ply ribs used in this kit.LOL
