Fabulous build Michael. I have been following this for a while even though I haven't commented on it very much, but it has to be said it is a very cool build and nicely put together - well done.Cool ThumpUp

I am THIS close to dumping this piece of trash into said trash and the only thing keeping me from it is that I'm 3 building phases removed from finishing it. Things keep falling off or break at the slightest touch, screwholes are missing entirely from where they should be instead presenting the builder with several mm thick metal. Where the holes are present they are often too shallow. Wire are mounted the wrong way around then you have to redo the entire cabling. Cable connectors dont hold together without superglue and then the cables themselves slip from the connectors. I've just lost the entire drivers door due to the screws not having enough grip to hold it. And the driver side fender.

If you ever were a bit miffed this wasn't released in the UK: don't be. Be relieved. Be very very relieved.

It's a shame. This started out so well and turned into a wretched pile of dung and misery.

Loosely put together. Cables are too short, connectors don't hold, holes to put the cables through are too small. Have located a nice pond to turn this thing into an impromptu boat.

"loosely put together".Doesnt that match the real car!! My dad was a mechanic and he hated working on 2CVs.I cant write on the forum how he described them.

It looks really good though from your photos

Well, it's over. Side Mirror and the drivers side window just broke when driver side door cracked out of its brace yet again. None of the sounds work, can't get the lights connected due to the too short cables. I'm gifting what survived to a model building friend who'll try to salvage what's possible. I'm washing my hands of this thing. I'm out.
