Now for the last flap and a small detail bit for the crotch. I didn't paint the small detail part but thinking of removing and painting it. I also just realized I forgot to take a photo of the waist attached to the torso. Will do that when I get home.

looking good Joel,
these kits remind me of Trumpeter kits. They seem to have a very high part count for each section you build.

Yeah they do but I like it that way for many reasons. For one it's fun assembling all these parts. Like a nice big 3D puzzle. Also make it easier to paint all the different bits of detail.. On top of that there is all the different ways of posing your kit because of all the joints and opening panels and moving parts.

So the most tedious part of building and painting is prepping the parts. And because times and weather for paint can come and go in a hurry I decided to prep all the parts that I know will be painted. This way I can just grab a set of parts and paint them at a moments notice. There are more parts to paint then what I have prepped but these are the ones I know for certian I will paint. All others are parts I will make a decision on when I get to assembling them.

Yeah I used to paint in the basement, but even with ventilation I was getting the smell in the house and it was clogging up our furnace so I had to stop and paint outside. Sucks for when I want to paint in the winter. I am thinking about eventually getting a small shed and turning it into and all season paint booth/work shop for models.

Alright, it's a beautiful day for painting so gonna take advantage of it best I can.

First up the side flap/skirt parts for the waist. These are technically not part of the waist assembly. They are out on after the legs. However they pop off easily and have the fewest parts to paint so decided to knock them out first.

Ok so those last parts are I primer and I have more paint sticks so I am gonna start the next set. Like said above I want to take advantage of the weather. Next up are the shoulders. No particular reason other then they are the next fewest parts.

Got the painting done and even started some primer on the next parts. Did some building this morning before we left on vacation. Because of that I wasn't able to completely finish the shoulder assbmbly. Gonna post up what I have since it will be another 4 days before I get to build again.
