Operable cabrio roof, Steering, Front & rear lighting, brake lights & Horn; Opening doors, glove compartment, boot, engine compartment & fuel filler flap; Authentic VW air-cooled engine and detailed interior details.

Clear, step-by-step English instructions (via download), accompanied by detailed photos to make building your "Beetle Cabrio 1303" model, as easy as possible.

It was in 1948 that Wilhelm Karmann first bought a VW Beetle sedan and converted it into a four-seat convertible. After successfully presenting it at VW in Wolfsburg the Beetle Cabriolet began production in 1949 by Karmann in Osnabrück. The last of 331,847 cabriolets came off the production line on the 10th January 1980.

VW say they may revive the name at a future point, no doubt be electric by then and lost all of its character from the original.
