One ship that links four nations, spans 400 years of history and connects millions of people. One of the best known names in maritime history, the Mayflower is famous for having transported the Pilgrim Fathers from Plymouth (England) to Cape Cod (Massachusetts) in 1620. During the religious oppression in the reign of Elizabeth I of England, two sects formed: the puritans and the separatists. The separatists formed the most consistent contingent on the Mayflower, which under the reign of James I set sail from Plymouth bound for America with 102 men, women and children on the 6th of September 1620.

The Mayflower 400 events programme will share the values of migration, tolerance, freedom and democracy and tell the story of a ship and its passengers - a group of people that a remarkable 30million+ US citizens have descended from.

It's the world's biggest family reunion - and you're invited. From November 2019, an ambitious year-long commemoration will mark the 400th anniversary of the Mayflower’s pioneering voyage.

In celebration of the 400th Anniversary, we are planning to host a Mayflower themed competition (open to UK, Netherlands and USA ModelSpace members), further details will posted nearer the time., any interested members, please indicate your interest in this topic.
