Since 2009 ModelSpace has rapidly grown to having 8000 (and counting!) members from around the world, which as the site expands, will continue to grow in number.

For help around the forum and information, we have a Forum Support Team (FST).

The team are able to offer help and guidance around the forum and will also provide modelling expertise and know-how. They also introduce articles and items of interest into the forum and also work on their own builds and official builds, and manage the general day to day operation of the forum.

The FST are your first port of call for assistance and general help around the forum. Please be aware that the forum is a place for like minded individuals with an interest in model making to discuss model making. This Forum is not somewhere that is equipped to solve customer account or delivery matters, which in the first instance should always be directed to the Customer Services team.

The forum team:

Forum Admin: Mark Adams

USA & UK Forum Leaders: Gandale, MarkWarren, Delboy271155, RoyMattBlack, DarbyVet

German Forum Leaders: Andreas.

Future forum leaders will be solicited from the membership on a merit basis, and as the need arises.

The ModelSpace Team around the globe is supportive, considerate and enjoys helping our customers. Our team is always available, reliable and has excellent technical expertise.
We want the best for our customers and we truly listen to you and your recommendations to make your build easier. We develop strong expert advice with images, videos and PDFs you can download to help your build.

Thanks for your continued support and for making ModelSpace the success that it is!

Hello there everyone.

Roymattblack - Roy - here.

I've been part of the FST for a few years now and my area of knowledge/expertise (if you want to call it that) is with model cars.
I've been building models for over 50 years and in that time my builds have been about 95% cars of one kind or another.

I now scratch build 1/8 scale models and I've learned a lot of techniques and different ways of doing things by pure trial and error. I enjoy the challenge of finding a way to do something, particularly by just using bits of scrap or old items from around the house, garage or shed. I rarely if ever, buy upgrade parts.
Many of my scratch built cars are now in classic car showrooms and have also been commissioned by the owners of the genuine cars.

I now also cast many parts in resin. Again, a process I learned just by using good old Google.
I print my own decals when I need them.

Interior trimming in leather and adding carpets is another aspect of my own builds.

It's great being able to share anything I can do with forum members, and helping where possible if they are stuck with a model they are working on, and I'm very pleased when someone tells me they used any of my ideas on their own builds.
That's what the forum is all about.
Long may it continue.

Happy plastic-bashing everyone.BigGrin
