So I work for a very large electrical retailer....

I'm still having to go to work each day as our company won't close there doors unless the government tell them to Confused Confused Confused

Social distancing in retail, well that doesn't work LOL LOL
Do not touch items in the store, LOL that again doesn't workLOL LOL

Then the stupid questions...

Have you got any freezers, no sorry all gone
Have you any monitors, no all sold
Have you any paper, no all sold
Have you any ink, no all sold
Have you any laptops, no all sold

So why are you open. BECOUSE IDIOTS LIKE YOU STILL COME SHOPPING FOR NONE INPORTANT THINGS...

Then's there's the ones that spit at you or cough over you just becouse you can't help them. Come on people have respect for the retail people. I run the risk of catching this virus everyday I go to work and possible take it home to infect my family thank you so much.

Hi Mustang,

My wife works for a very large Store which sells high priced food, you would not believe what she has to put up with in the last two days, she has worked in retail for 30 or more years so there is not much she has not seen or heard, she is working overtime to help fill up shelves with people trying to take food away from her hands? I could go into more about the language and behaviour?

Regards

Trev

The flip side of all this is that there are some amazing acts of kindness out there.

But, these times are putting the poor behaviour on full display.

I can believe it, 26yrs I've been in retail and I've seen everything that people can throw at us spat at punched and everything else even had people say I'll wait out side for you then we can sort this out and one guy even said he'll go and at a knife and be back. What idiots if people just brought what they normally buy it would be OK.

Totally agree, you get to see both sides of what people can do to and for each other.

On a lighter note:

Some years ago I was in a queue and there were two old ladies in front of me.
Their conversation went something like this...

"Have you seen Mabel lately?"

"No, have you? - I hope she's ok"

"She's always been very frail..."

"How old do you think she is - she must be at least 85..."

"WAY older than that. I reckon she's over 90. She must be. She was 86 LAST year..."

I just burst out laughing and they turned and glared at me.LOL

I reckon we are probable 2 weeks away before they start "shooting people".

I have a week off at the moment but my work area has been classed as "critical" so I will be working and not driving makes it darn difficult at the best of times to do shopping.

I normally order for myself and my 86 year old mother from Sainsburys but that is not an option with no available slots.

The only easy to reach shop from me is a smallish Co-op.

Popped in there yesterday and like most places just about zero on the shelfs. What they had just had delivered was a small qty of toilet rolls (can you believe we are talking about these as if they were a precious gold bar).

Two cushell packs left on the shelf and a small line of older people waiting in line to collect one.

What do I get next? and elbow in the ribs from some woman no older than about 20, baseball cap on back to front, pushing me out of the way and a much older chap in front of me.

She grabbed both packs and was away.

I think in all the years I have shopped this is the first time I have ever been "assaulted".

Just wonder when we will getthe first reports of:

1. someone mugged for the shopping they have just purchased
2. The first house break in were the yobs go in looking for food to steal.

I guess putting a positive spin on things you have to extend your sympathies to the Shop Lifters - as there is nothing left for them to pinch.

Tony
